In this season of Advent, let us consider Mary, an ordinary young girl who was chosen for an extraordinary task. Mary’s song or Magnificat is a hymn that not only reveals Mary’s faith in God but also who Mary is (her character).

Spiritual Formation on the Run 
In person, Mary has touched me as a mother with 2 sons as well.
Her humbleness, silently obeyed the call of God to bear Jesus in her womb as a virgin woman.
She would let go of her surrounding pressure, gossip, questioning her by her surrounding community, the purest of her life to carry this heavy responsibility, and the doubt on her in law family.
She saw the pain and suffering of her beloved first son Jesus, yet she silently knew who this child was and the Lord who had spoken directly to her.
The heavenly Father knew that among the women only Mary, the mother of Jesus was able to bear all the suffering and pain.
“Who am I?” I asked everytime I focus on the person Mary.
She is the woman that I should learn and follow. Amen n Amen
